Deepwater Surf Presents: Stonehead and Invitee Screening & Talk Story Session

Deepwater Surf presents its two newest short films, Stonehead and Invitee. Both films showcase some of the world’s biggest surf during last years historic ‘el niño’ winter. Before the screening, there will be a short talk story with the big wave surfers and filmmakers that captured the story, both on water and land.

Invitee recounts the events and massive waves during the Eddie Aikau surf event. Stonehead is a fictional tale of a group of surfers that embark on a boat to a mysterious island in search of the biggest and best waves of their lives. The list of surfers present will include Kohl and Nick Christensen, Aron Gold, Mikey Pietsch, Danilo Couto, Ben Wilkinson, and Dusty Middleton, with photographers Rusty Russel, Jean Louis de Heeckeren, Matt Catalano and Daniel Russo and more.

The event will also host a silent auction and fundraiser for the nonprofit groups Sustainable Coastlines and B.W.R.A.G (Big Wave Risk Assessment Group).
